I'm running 200 feet of track around a room on a shelf with only 90 degree turns. I'm using O gauge tubular steel track that I purchased from Menard's. I bought a ready to run LionChief 0-8-0 Pennsylvania Flyer with 4 rolling stock and will add 3 or 4 more. I'm not running any accessories and only have the power pack and Bluetooth controller that came with the set. I've read about running a bus wire but those seem to run off a transformer. I do intend on soldering connecting wires between track sections and screwing the track sections to a solid wood roadbed. I have the section of FasTrack where the power pack plugs in that came with the set and can add transition track so that it'll work with my rails. Should I add more of these sections with additional power supplies or can I use the universal lock on I found on Amazon to run a bus wire the length of the track and use jumpers to add power every 20'? Thanks for any advise. #Post#: 2865-------------------------------------------------- Re: Large Layout By: djacobsen Date: November 9, 2021, 7:14 am --------------------------------------------------------- Ironman Hello & Welcome to the Forum! It sounds like you have a good handle on what you hope to accomplish with your around the room layout. Screw your track down? You might want to reconsider using screws, They will transmit the sound from the track to the wood which may act to amplify the sound. You might want to consider hot glue or silicone sealer to attach your track to your shelf. A buss system is handy to feed power from, especially with 200 feet of track. After you get your track laid and you have your initial power feed to it, take your multi meter and go around the track checking for areas of power loss. That is where you will want to add feeds to. l would suggest sticking to lock on's to feed power to your track. l hope this is of some help.... Happy Rails! dave *****************************************************
