Can anyone tell me the input power spec for the controller; ie what voltage, AC or DC, and if DC what polarity of the barrel connector in the rear of the controller. I would really love to have this running for our Granchildren. Any help appreciated. TIA #Post#: 2959-------------------------------------------------- Re: Lionel Thomas and friends PSU By: Vince53 Date: April 13, 2022, 5:29 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Welcome aboard, Martin. Looking at various pictures of your Lionel G gauge Thomas set, it APPEARS to me that the controller and transformer are one solid piece. It also appears that Lionel uses two slightly-different power pack/transformers for this set. Sometimes Lionel sells individual parts, and you can contact them to find out. #Post#: 2960-------------------------------------------------- Re: Lionel Thomas and friends PSU By: martinP Date: April 14, 2022, 7:30 am --------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for your welcome and reply Vince53, The controller is definitely separate from any power supply, as it has a 2.8mm barrel socket in the back. The set is shown on the Lionel website, but no information for the set (spares etc) are shown. (HTM) https://www.lionel.com/products/ls-thomas-the-tank-engine-set-8-81027 I have attempted to contact Lionel via email on several occasions with no response unfortunately, and so I was hoping someone on this forum may be able to shed some light. I do realise that the set is an ancient one! *****************************************************
