Looks like take out the long screw under the truck and pull the motor out the top. Is this right? Is the motor keyed where you need to turn it one way or the other? Model 6-38232 Thanks Johnny333 65++ and still ticking. #Post#: 195-------------------------------------------------- Re: Rock Island FT A lub By: djacobsen Date: March 17, 2013, 9:12 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Johnny333, Here's the manual for the FT. Check out page 18 for lubrication instructions. But it doesn't show how to get at the worm gear. It is easy on my Lionel steam engine 4 screws and your are there. Thanks Johnny333 65+++ #Post#: 199-------------------------------------------------- Re: Rock Island FT A lub By: djacobsen Date: March 18, 2013, 8:16 am --------------------------------------------------------- Johnny333, the lube schematic show's where the 6 screws to remove to take the shell off are located. #Post#: 200-------------------------------------------------- Re: Rock Island FT A lub By: johnny333 Date: March 18, 2013, 11:12 am --------------------------------------------------------- Got it. Have to take the 6 screws out for the cab then take out the long screw on the bottom of the truck and motor comes out. There are 2 screws in the bottom of the truck one for the motor and one electrical pick up. One truck had a lot of grease the other very very little.
