New Free Lionel Track Planning Software

Hello all :)
Here I want to present one new freeware program for track
planning and layout design:
SCARM - Simple Computer Aided Railway Modeller
(HTM) http://www.scarm.inf
o/
It has lightweight and intuitive user interface, 3D viewing
capabilities and many other cool functions and features, plus
almost all Lionel track systems build-in.

Hello & Welcome to the Forum.
I've checked out the SCARM freeware program and believe it would
be a great help for new as well as experienced train
enthusiasts.
I did a Norton check on the site and at this time it is free
from malware. I haven't downloaded the SCARM program, so I
cannot say that
it is free from malware.
Are you involved with the development of the program or just
passing it along?

Hello Dave,
Yes, I am the author and developer of SCARM. It is still in beta
stage of development and I am actively working on it. I am open
to all suggestions and ideas which can help to make it better
software. If somebody needs help with SCARM, write here and I
will try to respond as soon as possible. I will also post a
short introduction in the other thread :)

It's nice to be able to meet & communicate with the developer of
a train related software program.
Your download page is easy to understand and answers most of the
questions one might ask.
One track system I do not see that is not on your list is 3 rail
Standard Gauge. There is a resurgence
of interest in original & reproduction Standard Gauge Trains, so
including it would be helpful to someone
planning a Standard Gauge Layout, beyond a simple oval of track.

The new SCARM v. 0.9.25 is ready, coming with new figures and
many new and updated track libraries (including Lionel

there's also the free XTrackCAD (now Open Source) available for

[li]MacOSX[/li]

for free (and possibly others if you know what to do with the
source code..).

apparently there's yet another free app for OS X:

Had only a quick look yet but can't complain about what I've
seen so far (it's free after all..)
