I want to repaint my f3 Southern #2356 ABA. They are very dull and heavily scratched up from handling and poor storage conditions. Can anyone tell me what paint should be used and what colors to use to match the original colors? I have seen decals on eBay that look like the originals that I can use on the nose. #Post#: 1099-------------------------------------------------- Re: #2356 Southern paint job By: djacobsen Date: July 18, 2015, 8:15 am --------------------------------------------------------- oldgoat Hello & Welcome to the Forum! Repaint's can vary from a rattle can job to brush or airbrush. I've had good results repainting rolling stock with Krylon plastic paint. Micromark: (HTM) http://www.micromark.com/painting-decaling-weathering.html has a good selection of paints & tools available. Southern Steam: (HTM) http://www.jacksonvilleterminal.com/southern_steam.htm shows the paint schemes/colors, numbers & years that the F-3's ran. I've got an SR repaint project myself, a neverwas Marx CP locomotive in SR regalia. Happy Rails! Dave *****************************************************
