       1122 O-27 switch

a number of years ago I was given a pair of 1122
switches.......I am resurrecting my Lionel layout with a
"dogbone" track using the non-derail feature of the
switch....one switch works fine, the other always remains in the
divergent position.....when a train approaches & the switch is
against the train the switch will move part way & then close
       again causing a derailment...... thoughts

Make sure the insulating pins are in the proper rails.
Disconnect the controller and see if both switches operate
properly. If so, the wiring to the controller needs to be
checked. If the switch still does not operate properly, there is
a short in the switch itself.

Thank you....it will probably be a couple of days before I can
       work on the switch.....
