Can anyone help me with values of lionel trains?

I have a lot of lionel train cars and engines in boxes from my
deceased father in law. I'm wonderin if I post the model numbers
would someone be able to tell me th value of them please? I want
to sell them and I really dont know anything about them.

Hello & Welcome to the Forum.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Not an unusual story in the train
world.
Yes, go ahead and make a post, please include photgraphs of
the trains.
That will help in estimating value.
Also you can visit the various auction sites online and view the
past selling prices for similar items.
Of course everyone want to receive the highest prices for their
trains, but be realistic unless you want
to put them up for auction and take your chances.
