Postwar lionel trains (locomotives, cars, transformers, accessor
ies, etc) in Western NY $650

Hello, up for sale is a large assortment of O Gauge Lionel
Electric Trains. These were my father's and they have been in
storage and not used for 30 years and everything shown in the
pictures is included in the sale. I tried to list everything
below but please look at the pictures. There are about 3 large
20 gallon bins of trains and accessories. Since these have been
in storage for such a long time I tested all the locomotives.
There is 1 running diesel engine, 2 running locomotives, 2
non-running/parts locomotives, a small non-running maintenance
engine, many assorted cars, lots of track including some switch
and un-coupler track, plus some buildings, signals, etc. I
believe most of the collection dates back to the 1940's and
1950's.
I am asking $650 firm for everything and this set is currently
located in Buffalo NY. Thank you for looking.
Inventory: (All Lionel unless noted otherwise)
Engines:
Santa Fe diesel engine # 2243 - Good condition, runs well, some
corrosion in battery compartment - did not test whistle (no
battery)
Locomotive # 2025 and tender # 6466W - Good condition, runs
well, tender whistle works
Locomotive # 726 and tender # 2046W - Good condition, runs well,
tender whistle works
Track maintenance repair gang engine # 50 - Fair condition -
hums but only moves 1/4" - needs repair or for parts
Locomotive # 2037 (parts or repair) - tested and does nothing,
wiring is broken did not try to reconnect as I am unsure what
goes where.
Locomotive # 666 (parts)- body only
Unknown lionel locomotive motor only (2 spoke wheels each side)
(no body, etc)- tested and motor works in both forward and
reverse.
Unknown lionel locomotive motor only (no body, etc)- tested and
does nothing.
Cars: (the avg condition of all the cars is good, I did not test
any for functioning)
Tender # 6026W - good condition
Unknown tender (it has coupler that resembles a duck's bill) -
good cond
Crane car # 6560 - vg condition
Satellite car # 3519 - good condition but missing satellite
Poultry car # 6434 - missing plastic door and one metal door
retaining rail, otherwise good condition
Gondola car # 6462 (Red) - vg condition
Horse car # 3356 - good condition but metal door retaining rail
separated from car and needs to be reattached
(2x) Gondola cars # 6342 - both vg condition
Hopper car # 6446-25 - good condition but missing several
plastic hatches
Flatbed car # 6264 - good condition but nothing on it (empty)
Milk car # 3482 - poor condition
Flatbed car # 6823 - fair condition but nothing on it (empty)
Boxcar car # 3464-425 - good to vg condition
Searchlight car # 3670 - good condition
Gondola Hobo car # 3444 - vg condition
Cable car # 6561 - good condition, chipped cables
Aquarium car # 3435 - good condition but one window is ****
Dump car # 3459 - fair to good condition, wires are detached
Boxcar # 6464-425 - good to vg condition
Rocket fuel tanker car # 6463 - good condition
Flatbed with rocket car # 6175 - fair to good condition, rocket
is damaged and taped
Gondola car # 6462 (Black) - vg condition
Sunoco tanker car # 6465 - vg condition
Boxcar 63132 - fair to good condition
Caboose # 6017 - fair condition
Caboose # 6257 - vg condition
Caboose # 6557 - poor condition
Caboose # 6419 - good condition
Caboose # 6057 - vg condition
Caboose # 6457 - vg condition
Car #6814 - for parts, missing wheels
Track:
Maybe 150-200 sections of O-27 track (I did not count them)
1 pair O-27 switches
5 left hand O-27 switches (all switches except one missing the
lighted insert plugs, did not test any of them)
3 remote O-27 uncouplers (with brittle wire)
1 crossing track
40+ piece trestle set
handful of track power connection devices
Transformers:
ZW 275w transformer - Good condition but "A" handle is broken
and the A terminal is not powering train (a replacement handle
is included in the sale). The other 3 handles were tested and
work well.
LW transformer - Very good condition and works great for train
and accessories, however train must be connected to U and A
terminals to function properly? I thought it was supposed to be
wired to U and B terminals, however I do not know much about
model trains?
American Flyer transformer # 12B - Looks fair but works very
well for both trains and accessories
Accessories/etc:
Switch tower # 445 (fair condition)
Rocket launcher platform # 175 (poor condition)
Radar tower # 197 (good condition)
Crossing signal # 154 (good condition)
Beacon tower # 394 (good condition)
Unknown floodlight tower (fair to good condition)
Unknown Marx 2 light signal (good condition)
(4x) track end bumpers (good condition)
Boxes/Etc:
(2x) misc magazines
box for 6464-425 boxcar, missing 1 end flap and other end flap
detached
box for 6257 caboose, torn in a couple places
box for 6462 gondola car, 1 end flap detached
unknown box, perhaps from a boxcar, but no end flaps
(2) No 619 remote control track set boxes, end flap torn on one
of them
box #225, missing end flaps and torn
box for rw transformer
box for 3356-100 figures for horse car
box for type "a" transformer
