The station, which was launched during lockdown by
veteran presenters with an average age of 70, has almost doubled
its total number of listeners in the last year, according to
official research, with the number of listener hours rising from
3.95 million to 7.74 million.
We listened to Boom radio on our way down to Dublin and was very
impressed
I switched to GHR , from R2, for a while when Ken Bruce left but
we dont get a great reception and it does my nut in fading out
every few mins, even though its GHR NI now.
Im back to R2 for Vernon Kay, Ive really got to like his show
and I like Sarah Cox, if they got rid of Scott Miles Id be a
happy bunny. Im sure hes a lovely person but hes so flipping
annoying with his " love you" to everyone

I’ve pretty much stopped listening to Radio 2 because of their
change in presenters, I now listen mainly to Greatest hits Radio
particularly for Ken Bruce, Magic Soul and various talk
stations, adverts area pain but not enough to make me return to
Radio 2.

We switched to Radio Wales when Ken Bruce left. Wynne Evans, the
opera singer, is a funny guy and plays good music, as well as
having little chats and competitions.
