        from shelves.

Target has apologized and pulled a “Baby Daddy” card from
       shelves, following social media complaints.
The Father’s Day Card was posted on Facebook by Takeisha
       Saunders.

You CANNOT be serious Target!!!! Really!!!?!!!!? This was the
only Father’s Day card that featured a black
       couple!!!!!!😡😡🤦🏾‍♀&#

She shared her outrage over the card’s cover image and “Baby
Daddy” message. The post has since gone viral.
Saunders wrote, “You CANNOT be serious Target!!!!

       featured a black couple!!!!!!”
The card is now being removed from 900 Target stores, according
       to Fortune.
Target has apologized to customers saying, “We sincerely
apologize to anyone this particular card has offended.”

So this is what @Target thinks about black families, that we
have baby daddy’s and not father, SMH, this is why we have to
start pulling our resources because we have to separate, come in
to UNITY , and help ourselves and own our own stores

A spokesperson for American Greetings told BuzzFeed the
“particular card was created for, and addressed to, a loving
husband – which the inside copy makes clear.”
The inside of the card reportedly read: “You’re a wonderful
husband and father — and I’m so grateful to have you as my
partner, my friend and my baby daddy! Happy Father’s Day.”

I'm kind of curious about this tweet:

Separate from what? From white people? Own your own stores? Like
       "black only stores?"

       It's not offensive at all.
Someone was just looking for a way to be offended that day.
Clearly the inside of the card clearly makes it clear.
I think there is a serious lack of people of color cards. I buy
them whenever I see them which isn't very often. I'm surprised
that cardmakers haven't figured this out yet

People of color cards? I buy cards all the time. Never
identified any of them as “white” cards. What would make them
       poc cards? Certain verbiage?

They were taking about this on the talk radio station I listen
too the other day and the ONLY caller out of like 20 was
offended was a white woman. Several callers of color said they
got the joke and found the humor in it.

Well I was thinking about the pictures, you know like on a
friendship card, all the friends sitting around a table having
lunch and they are ALL WHITE...no person of color. Or a picture
of 2 old ladies, we are both old, but both women pictured on the
card are white. You haven't noticed that?

Sounds like the inside made clear it was intended to a father
and husband and was not in any way meant to imply something
       negative about people of color.
