When Did You Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You

'When Did You Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You' is my
fav track from 'Here, My Dear'. The album grew on me over the
years. What are your thoughts on this album?

I stopped feeling Marvin after I Want You. Just couldn't relate
to the lyrics or music so I've never owed or played this LP.
From the track I think I'm just too shallow to care. Perhaps
       it's time to reconsider.

I have a copy of "Here My Dear" on one of those CD Toofers that
came out around 20 years back. I hardly play it, though if or
when I do it sounds OK, but it doesn't really "grab" me.
The story is that he was contractually obliged to provide Motown
with material so that they could release an LP and, being
embittered by his divorce, he deliberately gave them something
that was unlikely to sell in huge volumes .... I wonder how true
       that is?

Wasn't the story that he promised the income from his next LP to
his soon to be ex wife and prurposely recorded something sh****
so her settlement would be poor and 'beyond his control'?

That could be it Paul, it sounds more plausible.
