So I will try to restore. I am thinking to repaint to how I like to see it, ie dark green unlined base, black firebox, ladders and chimney with black base to engine stand with green inset panels and red flywheel. NOTE - unable to get picture to load but there is a picture of it in the for sale section. When I load it it keeps saying this site cannot be reached ? #Post#: 11648-------------------------------------------------- Re: My first restoration project before starting it - a wilesco d24 By: CBWho Date: July 12, 2019, 7:18 am --------------------------------------------------------- Kudos to you for choosing a custom color. There are plenty of them in original colors. It only makes sense to bring engines back to original colors if the original colors are rare. #Post#: 11652-------------------------------------------------- Re: My first restoration project before starting it - a wilesco d24 By: 34046 Date: July 12, 2019, 7:35 am --------------------------------------------------------- [quote author=CBWho link=topic=1218.msg11648#msg11648 date=1562933895] Kudos to you for choosing a custom color. [move]NOT!!![/move] Keep us posted as you work on this one, and give us a photo or two along the way so we can see how you're progressing. Looks like a worthwhile resto project from here! #Post#: 11833-------------------------------------------------- Re: My first restoration project before starting it - a wilesco d24 By: Hero Date: July 14, 2019, 7:35 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Those are nice engines.
