Do you have the riders? Do you have the top flags?
Thanks Charlie. I have some spare parts from other "expendable" accessories... plotting and planning how best to do all this... #Post#: 12086-------------------------------------------------- Re: Spin the Wheel - Working on a Doll 729/5 Ferris Wheel By: oilfield_steam Date: July 18, 2019, 7:51 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Well, finally decided to source some parts from this 729/2 Karusell. I needed the big driving wheel and the toothed gear. Fortunately the distance from the big wheel gear to the toothed gear were identical on the smaller 729/2 and the big 729/5. Right at 5mm apart. Next, JB Weld on the wheel and gear. I'll certainly be on the lookout for replacement parts. I could probably make the flat gear... not so sure about the pot metal driving wheel. A bunch of the Doll accessories have these two parts. #Post#: 12090-------------------------------------------------- Re: Spin the Wheel - Working on a Doll 729/5 Ferris Wheel By: Nick Date: July 18, 2019, 8:12 pm ---------------------------------------------------------
I'll certainly be on the lookout for replacement parts. Antico Mondo had a reserve of 2500 Euro on the same complete model in 2018, and it did not sell, six month later the Pook sells similar for 18K, crazy world #Post#: 12134-------------------------------------------------- Re: Spin the Wheel - Working on a Doll 729/5 Ferris Wheel By: oilfield_steam Date: July 19, 2019, 4:19 pm ---------------------------------------------------------
Good Luck with the restoration.
