It needs a few things, like a boiler bushing, chimney, etc. It's on my list, and I'll get to it one day. Anybody have a chimney that'll fit it? It's a handsome design. #Post#: 16361-------------------------------------------------- Re: New Wilesco Project By: Hero Date: October 21, 2019, 3:25 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I like it, too, even though my tastes run more to scratch-built engines and those made from castings. Nice toy, regardless. And thanks for your approval. #Post#: 16369-------------------------------------------------- Re: New Wilesco Project By: Hero Date: October 21, 2019, 5:12 pm --------------------------------------------------------- The engine runs fine on air, and the boiler looks all right, so it shouldn't be hard to sort the rest. If worse comes to worst, I can make a serviceable chimney. #Post#: 16382-------------------------------------------------- Re: New Wilesco Project By: Nick Date: October 21, 2019, 10:48 pm --------------------------------------------------------- No help with the parts here, but that sure is an attractive engine 8) #Post#: 16388-------------------------------------------------- Re: New Wilesco Project By: Jim Date: October 21, 2019, 11:13 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Bob you should be able to get some brass tube and the tops of the chimneys you can still purchase. #Post#: 16392-------------------------------------------------- Re: New Wilesco Project By: Hero Date: October 22, 2019, 8:10 am ---------------------------------------------------------
Bob you should be able to get some brass tube and the tops of the chimneys you can still purchase.
Thanks. I have some brass tube, and I can take a shot at fabricating the top from shim stock. Otherwise, as you say, I'll buy a top. #Post#: 16403-------------------------------------------------- Re: New Wilesco Project By: Jim Date: October 22, 2019, 6:08 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Shouldn't be to hard to fabricate - (HTM) https://www.wilesco-shop.de/ersatzteile/kamine/kamin-schwarz-messing-d305-d456-d49.html #Post#: 16405-------------------------------------------------- Re: New Wilesco Project By: Hero Date: October 22, 2019, 6:54 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Yeah, if Wilesco can do it, why can't I?😏😏 *****************************************************
