       I had thought mine was screwed in... tried unscrewing it, which
       I was able to do, to an extent... then it became hard to turn
       and felt like wires binding/twisting up inside. Was it soldered
       onto the wires and then screwed in?

       I bought two of those a few years ago and I’m very happy with
       them.
       I forgot about the bulb being soldered to the wires. If I recall
       I think I modified mine to take a screw-in. I tend to crank them
       up and go through a lot of bulbs.
