Tiny 1920's Foertner Solenoid Motor

Made in Anfoe, Germany in the 1920's, this little toy solenoid
motor was probably never intended to least nearly a hundred
years! But, with a little work, I have it up and running once
again. This was an ebay purchase from last week. It measures
only 2.5" x 4" at the base, and about 4" high. This is one of
the smallest factory-made solenoid engines in my collection.

I believe that Scott had some of these on the workbench as well
at some point...unless my memory has collapsed completely now?

I love the vintage runners, electrical or steam.
Yours looks in nice condition. Where has it been
over the years and what stories it must have.
My parents had an antique shop in the 60's and
that is where I get my love of vintage. Goes with
my degree in history.
Anyway, there is on EBAY USA a 4-solenoid motor
(it is electric) done up quite well. The listing title
follows:
'Steam Engine Design Cartrol Solenoid Engine'

Well, I probably should not be surprised. The steam
community is a relatively small world in comparison
with other collectibles.
