       Dynamo Project Build
By: Hassellbear Date: January 7, 2024, 6:01 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Hi,
       I’m new to this forum, and I think it’s great. I acquired a 1964
Wilesco D16 in November, and I decided my first accessory would
be a dynamo and light - as I am an electrical engineer.
I purchased a PM Research machined dynamo kit and spent a bit of
spare time building the kit and fashioning a suitable base and
lamp. The base was fabricated from a 6” square cast iron
skillet. I made the lamp post using rectangular brass bar stock,
brass tubing, a couple of tiny aluminum funnels, and a led.
I finished just in time for Christmas, and the engine and dynamo
entertained the family children on Christmas day.

I never would have thought about using a square skillet for a
       cast iron base. Great job!
