       PTC for ATSF3751

Some of you may already know but I am a train enthusiast outside
of model steam engines. Thought I’d share these photos with
ya’ll. They are installing PTC (positive train control) into
AT&SF #3751, so it can still be operational on lines requiring
       it by the FRA. Enjoy![attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

Same locomotive, but different roster. The one in kingman, AZ
       is ATSF3759.
3751 is still in use today.
Here is a cab ride on ATSF3751. I highly recommend watching
this. It has some of the best footage you’ll ever find along
with great sounds and vantage points you can’t get anywhere.
       Enjoy!
Engineer in this is your typical “Hog head”; cigar in mouth and
overrals, hoggin the controls. (Railroader slang).

Originally outshopped by Baldwin as a Mountain Class locomotive
       weren't they?
       Then later rebuilt into Northerns.

Yeah, I do understand the need to have a diesel in the consist,
but why not behind the steamer instead of in front of it?!?!

This was a movement for Operation Lifesaver, a marketing group
for the BNSF, and on this line (San Bernardino Sub), at the time
The steamer didn’t have Cab signals installed which is required
to be operational on the head end.

Valid reasoning, thanks for the clarification!
