Argentina vs Morocco - Olympics 2024

What was everyone's view of this game?
Refereed by Glenn Nyberg of Sweden
15 minutes of added on time at the end of the game - which is
far too long in my opinion.
Argentina score an equaliser, in the 16th minute of injury time,
which to me seemed very harshly ruled out for another dodgy
offside call but the VAR decision took over 90 mins due to crowd
trouble.
Game finished after 2 hours of suspension with the last 3
minutes being played out.

Only seen brief highlights. No idea if 15 mins is correct, but
much more stoppage time added in these games so far, showing
difference in instructions between fifa and uefa.
PK to Morocco seemed very soft to me.
As the game was suspended, the VAR decision could only be
communicated upon the restart. Only thing that could happen in
the circumstances. Interesting to see what the consequence for
Morocco will be for their fans causing such a delay at a fifa
event.
Some very debatable decisions in the early games so far based on
the brief highlights - VAR intervention fora penalty in UZB v
ESP took an eternity and was wrong; DOM wrongly-disallowed goal
by Yamashita who could’ve waited 1 second and then allowed VAR
to rescue her.

I watched the game in full. It was messy from the start and
while Nyberg tried to hold back but then started to issue yellow
cards only for Morocco players which added to the tension. There
were cynical fouls from both sides and plenty of rolling around.
Claims of being elbowed in the face and so on. Only in the 88th
minute an Argentina player finally got booked but the damage was
done.
The added 15 minutes was nonsense. There was one delay in the
second half when someone run on the field to take a selfie (this
again). Maybe FIFA has ordered more added time at the OG since
the event is usually less visible compared to other
international tournaments but it has backfired on day one. The
Guinea game also had 11 minutes added on IIRC. And yeah,
everyone says Dominicana got robbed since that was never a foul
when they scored a goal.

I was wondering myself because it was a simple offside call that
the assistant should see in real time without VAR...

Very low probability that the AR will see that with 100%
certainty at the time.
