The Meadow[Open][Sign Ups!]

The Meadow is, well, a large meadow. The grass is long and
flowers bloom here. Many types of animals are born and they
graze here. There are berries and clovers. But this isnt just a
meadow where any animal can jump around in. Certain animals live
here in a group. In the middle of the meadow is a willow tree
with fresh-green leaves that blood over a pond, always to drop
some flowers into it and make it ripple. This is called the Life
Tree. The pond below comes from the million drops of water
inside the tree. If the pond dries out, so does the tree, and
the grass and flowers will no longer bloom. By the Life Tree
there are a few rocks. The rocks produce shade and shelter from
the beating sun and the pouring rain. There are dens inside the
rocks that animals can sleep in.
Most of the animals here are deer. Many rabbits come here to eat
the clovers. Birds come here for the berries and flowers on the
trees. Bees stop by for some flowers too. But there is one
problem in the meadow. Nothing is always safe. When the forest
is the stillest, and the shot of a gun is sounded, the weakest
animals take shelter. Bears help guard the meadow. Birds peck
and the hunter, and a rabbit or two may distract it. When there
is a death, however, the animals gather under the Life Tree and
sleep by the pond for one night.
Ranks:
King- The great king is the most respected in the meadow. He is
the wisest and strongest of all the animals. The king is mostly
a deer, but rarely a rabbit or a bear. Eagles and Hawks have
been king before. The King is granted a special power. This
power is to speak with the mighty ancestors. Kings and Queens do
this, and teach their children too.
Queen- The queen is the king's mate. They must be the same
species as the King, or the special power wont work. They spend
most their life-time with the young of the meadow. When they
grow old they are treated with more respect than before. If they
have two or more children, they must choose a one of them to be
the prince or princess.
Prince- The son of the Queen or the Princess's mate. The prince
is treated with respect, however, any command is to be ignored,
unless told so otherwise.
Princess- The daughter of the Queen or the prince's mate. The
Princess has the same job as the Prince.
Doctor- The medicine cat. They may have a mate but they are
forbidden to have children.
Doctor Apprentice- The medicine cat apprentice. They may only
have a mate at the age of 20 moons. They are forbidden to have
children.
Guard- These guys guard the meadow when a hunter is near, or
when there is a dangerous or unwelcomed animal by the meadow.
Fighters- The name says it. They fight. They fight for the
meadow. They fight to the death. They basically fight
animals/humans not wanted.
Queens- Self Explanatory.
Kits- Self Explanatory.
Apprentices- Well you know what these are. But you might be
thinking this [s]i sure was.[/s] 'Do Guards and Fighters get
apprentices?' Well of course they do. When kits are born they
are examined by the queen or king. The ones with more muscles
are fighters. The ones that blend in with territory more AND
have muscles are guards.
Elders- You dont need this explained, do you?
Names:
So. These names arent Clan names. Because these guys arent Clan
cats. I mean they could. They can be cats. They might be
kittypets that belong to a kid. The kids name might be Bob. The
cats name might be snappy. [s]SO OFF SUBJECT.[/s] Anyway. [s]I
just love the way i do that.[/s] Okay. So. The names are
basically loner names. Okay? You can make it a tribe name or a
first and last name. Or just a simple loner name. Whatever.
[s]Im making a first and last name.[/s] Just as long as it isnt
Bluestar. Or Fireheart. Or Bramblestar. [s]Or Berrystumpytail.
Acually, You can use the name Berrystumpy tail. its kewl.[/s]
