day have to get the oil changed in the car and get tires put on
it.I got to run to the laundry mat and get my hair cut. I need
to go to the library and gotta grab milk. I need to do the PP
crazy for Saturday its the 15th ladies Saturday.I got the
journaling page done I need to take a pic of it and post.

Today is the annual DeFoe Apple Trip for hubby and I. We usually
go the the NC Apple Festival in Hendersonville the first weekend
in September to get my apples to bake and can with for the
season. But we missed it this year because he was working for
the DNC. So yesterday we staked out a couple of contenders
(orchards) and we are hitting the road this morning to see what
we can find. We are on a mission to find honeycrisp apples, our
favorite, but will settle for Gala or some other sweet tart
apple. We will either buy them pre-picked or pick them ourselves
depending on the orchard. then tomorrow will be baking day!!! I
usually make three pies, one for the week I make them and two
to deep freeze for the holidays. Then I take the rest of the
bushel and make apple butter and can it for us for the year as
well as for friends and neighbors we see for the holidays. We
ran out of apple butter early this year, so I am anxious to get
it back in the house. Love it with my pancakes!!!

smells delish while you are baking and canning.

Gonna do a bit of cleaning and vacuuming. Went through some
scrapbook scraps and made a mess yesterday. Got rid of a bunch
I'll never ever use and now my drawer opens and closes without
jamming. Love that.

I am home sick today. :-\ was running a fever when I got home
last night so just crawled into bed and stayed there. Feel a
little better this morning but still have a low grade fever.
Was surfing Facebook and noticed Sassafras Lass has a new
mystery box up for sale. Grabbed one!
