we might be in trouble!

Katie's 3rd grade math homework had us all stumped!
Here's the problem:
A farmer purchased 100 animals with $100. How many of each
animal did he purchase? Chicks are 10 cents each, sheep are $2
each and pigs are $5 each.

That's 3rd grade math? I'd need a calculus calculator to figure

unless it's an algebra class --- isn't it a matter of opinion
how many pigs vs chickens vs sheep?
