Thankful Thursday

beautiful. I am thankful today for the weather and my wonderful
DH. I am going to make a list for my scrapping then I want to at
least do one page today. I want to move my bedroom furniture
around and clean the scrap room a bit. I need to bath the dog
and thats about it. What are you up to. Have a sunny day.

I'm at work, and you're right, Barb, it's a beautiful day. It
was cold this morning, though, I had to turn on the heater in my
car! No frost yet but it's comin'.......

got Katie off to school. checking in to see whats going on.
need to take a shower. tonight is the school open house. we'll
meet her new teacher and see what is going to be going on in the
class room for the rest of the year. DD has Katie for the next
3 so I get a break from the bedtime routine.

my brain just won't seem to wake up today. gonna throw it in the
shower and see what happens after that. No work today, YAY!!
apple butter simmering in the crock waiting for me to either can
it or eat it!!! hmmmm, maybe i will make some biscuits this
morning. Have a good day!!

oooo apple butter Resa - what time should I be there??? LOL!!!
DH and I are continuing are quest in helping a friend move from
her PC to MAC. Its slow going as she's so-so in the technology
dept. and the mistake peeps make in moving to the mac - is
making it harder than it needs to be because windows is. And
she's one of those peeps that makes everything harder than it
needs to be. Working through it.
Not much else going on. Looks like another rainy day. I should
run some errands. Snort. I do need to check if hobby lobby is
finally open.

I was on hold with SSI this morning about an awards letter for
my DS, which they can't send to the fax I need it to go to :|
so they had to mail it to me. seriously? SOOOOOOOOOOOO...in
accordance with the "thankful" theme, I will be thankful that he
receives benefits at all, on behalf of the government due to his
father being as he is. Right???? I am frustrated and
probably need a nap already.

I am continuing,at a snail's pace, my big adventure of fall
cleaning. what was I thinking?
Resa, would you share your recipe for the a-butter, I love
making it almost as much as I love how the house smells during
the process. I have one that I made in the crock a few yrs back
but I can't find it..
Well,off to buy apples for those little pies that I think will
taste good for dessert tomorrow when the BFFs and I return from
a shopping spree.
Have a thankful thursday....

Pam, I've got to tell you that I am a big collector of recipes.
I stubbled upon Christy Jordan's website a few years ago and
EVERYTHING I have ever made from her recipes are to die for!!!
When she printed out her first cook book last year. I got myself
on the waiting list and pestered the book store until it
finally came in. Here is a link to the apple butter on her site.
I make this recipe for my family and friends every year for the
past three years. It is easy as pie and delicious. My husband
has already called me today to find out what we are having for
dinner that will involve him eating some tonight.
