here's Katie's spelling word list. she is in the 3rd grade
gifted class, but still pretty tough words.
dictate
indicative
edict
vindicate
jurisdiction
predicament
benediction
maledictory
dedication
contradict
I know I didn't learn these in 3rd grade. I have to brag a bit
- she got 100%!!!

Yup, I'm a speller and yay for Katie!! I can remember having to
spell encyclopedia in 5th grade, but those words are tough!
Sign her up for the national spelling bee!

WAY TO GO KATIE! :)
Spelling was one of my favorite subjects in school (so strange).
I'd loved to have gotten her spelling list (nevermind, that was
even more strange!). It served me well as a medical
transcriptionist though!

Wow ! Those weren't the words 45-50 years ago!
In 12th grade I took speed reading....... YEA that I can scan
faster....
But the vocabulary tests were stupid. She always listed the
words on the test like the study guide. So all you had to do is
remember the number of the meanings

I used to be better than i am now, darn that auto correct which
has made it easier for me to stop thinking.
