By: SherrieScraps Date: October 7, 2012, 9:52 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I just finished putting ALL my layouts in albums, chronologically!! I emptied them all, sorted the layouts in piles by decade (before 1980, 1980's, 1990's, 2000's, 2010's). Then I sorted the decades (luckily for me, I dated almost every layout) and started putting them in albums. I have 6 We R Memory Keepers leather D-ring albums and two American Crafts D-ring. 7 of them are full! The 8th one has layouts from this year in them with plenty of room to add more. Whew! I really enjoyed looking at my layouts again, and I was tempted to re-do a few, but decided not to. It's kinda funny to see how my scrappy style has evolved over the years. Now, when I scrap older pictures, I need to put them in the right place in the albums from now on! Anybody else ever do this? #Post#: 16543-------------------------------------------------- Re: I finally did it! By: Resa Date: October 8, 2012, 7:32 am --------------------------------------------------------- yes. since i scrap out of order. I am forever moving stuff around from book to book due to space issues. I am moving to a new style now so I don't have to do the post expanders anymore. they are the pits. the only issue i have is that the ring binders are so UGLY!!! #Post#: 16545-------------------------------------------------- Re: I finally did it! By: maddawg Date: October 8, 2012, 7:53 am --------------------------------------------------------- CONGRATS!!!! I enjoy looking back at my pages too. Its fun to watch the evolution. Some of the earlier ones, I left as is, but rescrapped the photo because back then I didn't do much journaling. I've decided I don't care about order. I have dates noted in the journaling so I'm not going to mess with it - besides I have an idea where all the pages are at anyway....all the grandkids are getting their own album by family - (not individual) so as I get photos and download I scrap and they seem to be in order just doing that. #Post#: 16547-------------------------------------------------- Re: I finally did it! By: SherrieScraps Date: October 8, 2012, 11:17 am --------------------------------------------------------- Resa, the We R Memory Keeper Leather (or Faux Leather) albums are gorgeous and come in 30 different colors. Mine are all navy. The American Craft Albums are fabric and I don't like them, but I got them cheap with a coupon at M's. I want to get more of the leather albums but need to save up some $$ and watch for a sale. I've found them all over the place for anywhere between 20 and 30 dollars (plus shipping, they are heavy). I got the last two at Amazon.com because they offer free shipping if you spend more than 25.00. Lynn, it is fun to see how your scrapping style evolves. I was surprised to see that I had scrapped the same picture twice a couple of times! #Post#: 16553-------------------------------------------------- Re: I finally did it! By: AprilSaysSo Date: October 8, 2012, 2:47 pm --------------------------------------------------------- CONGRATS! I drove myself bananas at a time trying to keep everything "in order" too....I gave up and if it gets into an album I consider it a good thing :D #Post#: 16561-------------------------------------------------- Re: I finally did it! By: tallulah Date: October 8, 2012, 5:01 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Yea me too - I have 4 boxes of LOs sitting behind me that need to either go in albums - or give then to who is gonna "inherit" them now! Leaning that way... I have 6 albums plum full - and no where to keep them. I have pics of them all - so I can always "slideshow" them, while I am making more. #Post#: 16568-------------------------------------------------- Re: I finally did it!
