       SNC Weekend Blitz --> 3-30-12

Sheesh...my day got away from me. And I REALLY wanted to have a
sample up for you...but alas, it didn't happen.
My challenge was to be a lift and a technique. You would lift
me (hence the need of a sample) and get messy with mists. But
not spraying the mists. Oh no...that would be way to easy and
just not fun enough for a weekend project!!! I want you to take
the top off the bottle and shake/drip/tap out the ink (from the
bottle top/straw part) onto your page for the random dot look.
Practice on scrap paper to get the look you want.
Now I know...some of you are on a budget/spending freeze.
So...I have a link to make your own mists from paint. You can
also use your ink refills to make the mist. Now...I'm also
hearing you say I don't have a spray bottle....excuses, excuses!
Ha...mix in a bowl and use a fork. Be creative! I know you
       can do it.
Link for making mists from paint (it is about altering Prima
flowers, but the paint/mist part is in there also) -->

and another link to make mists:

So that is the technique....here is the layout I'm lifting -->
(This is a layout by Lisa Dorsey that I found on Pinterest)
She did not get messy, but imagine the results if she had!

I have used those little bottles of paint (- Apple Barrel or
whatever, and just drop some paint on wax paper, cut it with
water, go out on the porch, dip a brush and then run your finger
across the bristles. Spatters great. Fine or heave depending
       on how close you are.
Should be able to 'drop" it....

ok, here's mine. I took some liberties, mainly because I did not
read the directions correctly. i made the mist with paint and
water. Then I repeatedly dragged a loaded fork across the c/s.
Afterward I realized I needed to splatter the mist paint. so I
went back with a straw and did that. After inspection I decided
I liked it that way with both techniques, so that's what I used.
Also I completed the OLW challenge with this as the quote says,
"Autumn arrives in early morning, but spring at the close of a
       winter day.
       Elizabeth Bowen"
       Thanks for looking!!!
