When you try something new and it doesn't work do you give up or
       keep trying ?
I have figured out if I keep trying I will get it I had a hard
time with the chevrons now I love them Janelle posted a great
link. I also had a hard time with a new MS punch but I finally
got it it. I think I will love it. I want to learn to mist
without my papers getting all warpy lol.

It depends on if it is something that I really like or not. If
it is a challenge in a contest I am in, then as long as I meet
the requirements, I'll ditch the idea, but if it is something I
really admire, then try, try again.
They say the key to the non-warpy papers is don't over
wet/saturate. I am having better luck, but still don't have it
       downpat.

it depends. I may not keep at it right then - but I may try it
again. I'm still trying to figure out the whole resist thing.

Sometimes I keep trying, if I like the look of it. If I don't I
       move on.

Well, I tried & tried making coffee filter flowers. I didn't
like some of them, so I tried again. (You know what, I won't do
       it anymore. What a pain.)
The lady in the youtube video made it look so easy. ::)
