Here's my question... Do you or someone in your family enjoy trains? My DGS is thrilled with trains, the sounds, the sights, the ride.... #Post#: 32817-------------------------------------------------- Re: QOTD April 27 By: Resa Date: April 28, 2014, 10:50 am --------------------------------------------------------- my grandfather and my dad were big train guys. I enjoy going to train museums and riding trains thanks to them. but I no longer have a model train set. yes, I used to have one, lol I do have a couple of "made for me" miniature trains my grandfather made for me before he died. #Post#: 32832-------------------------------------------------- Re: QOTD April 27 By: maddawg Date: April 28, 2014, 2:34 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Love to ride trains - we'd like to take one out west. #Post#: 32844-------------------------------------------------- Re: QOTD April 27 By: SherrieScraps Date: April 29, 2014, 8:34 am --------------------------------------------------------- I always wanted to take a train ride through the Canadian Rockies. My DH was Canadian and it was on our bucket list, but he passed away before we could do it. #Post#: 32896-------------------------------------------------- Re: QOTD April 27 By: tallulah Date: April 30, 2014, 5:01 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Stan & I have always been train people. I used to ride from Jax., FL to Texas as a kid to my grandparents or visaversa. Stan used to hop em! lol We have model trains everywhere, we even had a garden railroad for a while. We have N, Ho, G, and O guages. We rode Amtrak 9000 miles in 2002, and 6000 miles in 2003. And that was coach, with two bags each (we can't check baggage at our station) Altho they gave us a deal for a sleeper from Chicago to Portland, OR in 2002. We've rode from here in GA to New Orleans several times. And we have ridden alot of scenic railroads around the country as well. Durango-Silverton, Combres Toltec... What I would give for train tickets today. I would be packed by morning! *****************************************************
