       I'm bacK!

And wishing I was still on vacation! LOL!!! Although I missed
you all terribly, I had a wonderful time in Breakenridge! The
weather was awesome! Views beautiful! Soo peaceful, well if
you disregard the challenging 4 year old!
But we came home to a mess. A power surge or something happened
at some point while we were gone and the house sitter didn't
realize it. The outside fridge (in garage) STANK! We threw
everything away from the inside fridge also. I cleaned both
thoroughly today...threw in new baking soda and coffee grounds
and they still stink. Plus the master bedroom circuit was
blown. AND no internet. Both the cable modem and wireless
       router had no power.
But I got all the laundry done and put away. Hubby went a got
the cable modem swapped and bought a new router so we are up
internet wise. Now to score the internet to find solutions to
       stinky fridges!
Off to get caught up with the board here!

       Glad you're back.
It does suck coming home after a vacation, especially to a mess.
       :(

Try charcoal. And clean the insides with vinegar first, then
air out. If it still smells, put some charcoal in there and
shut the door (with the power on) for a few days.
Glad you had a great vacation!

Glad your back and had a great vacation. Sorry you had to come
back to that. Try cleaning with equal parts vinegar and water
it usually takes the smell away. Leave the doors of the fridge
       open for a while.

Hmm...charcoal. I've never tried that. I used bleach, but may
have to try the vinegar charcoal combo. The freezer still
       reeks!

so glad u had a wonderfdul time.. i agree try charcoal it works
long as nothing leaked into the walls of the freezer if soooo
all the insulation has captured the smell and u may never get it
out i had to throw mine away a few yearsback when the breaker
blew and i didn't realize the freezer was on that breaker line
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope it comes clean for you..

Oh no...leakage into the insulation. That is possible! ARGH!
Will try the charcoal. I'm having a party this saturday...I
hope I can get to it before then.
