I haven't watched a game yet but heard the Red Sox are doing
       horrible this year!

They have started off bad but they normally start out slow. They
have been winning more often lately so will see.

MLB dealt the Sox a terrible hand. They broke spring training
and immediately went on a 11 game western road trip. They were
the last AL team to play at home. So go on the road for 2 weeks
after being on the road for 6 weeks of spring training. That
schedule was a recipe for failure. Now they are getting it
together, they went over .500 for the first time all year
yesterday. I look for them to be right there with the Yanks and
Rays in the next few weeks. MLB should be ashamed. No team
should wait until game 12 for the home opener.

I agree Fully. You have to wonder after the winning streak they
had last yer if they were hoping to curve that. If it as an
underdog team that did it its great marketing but if its the Sox
, Yankees, etc it doesn't have the same national attention to
       the franchise.

I saw something online the other day about one of the guys
robbing a home run in extra innings to help them. There are
times I wished I watched sports on a regular basis, but when I
try to watch I get bored watching it on TV then wander off doing
other things hahaha In person is the way to go, but then again
some fo these games cost crazy money to go!

I save time by almost never watching live. I DVR the game and
fast forward during commercials, pitching changes, and other
delays. I probably miss some of the commentary but I know the
game well enough to not really need it. Using this approach a 3
hr game is watched in about 90 mins.

That works as long as you don't hear about the outcome before
       you watch it...

^It takes discipline to stay off websites and social media until
you finish watching. Also a strip of cardboard taped to the
bottom of the screen hides the crawl.

I get that some games can be very boring and it is better in
person. Sadly baseball games have gotten longer over the last
       decade.
