Worldwide Koaster Kids "Weekend": 7/13-7/14 2019
By: Pineracer Date: July 15, 2019, 9:47 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday was Worldwide Koaster Kids Day and Maddy, who is the
Kid Reporter in that region, was hosting a Koaster Kids Day. I'm
kind of burned out on the park and I feel a good musical show in
the showcase would help break up a day at the park (There was
another meet up at SFNE with the New England reporters, sisters
       Sam and Skylar).
Anyways, I started the fun a day earlier by taking advantage of
the twilight special at Clementon Park, which is somewhere I
have never been before. When first coming in, I thought Hellcat
was closed/down. However, not only is it only on one train, but
they second car was closed off with cones. I rode in the left
seat in the second to last row. It was rough, but it was hauling
and I personally feel it is better than El Toro. Even though I
got more airtime on El Toro, I feel it was worth the cred.
Other highlights of my Clementon Park visit were Pharaoh's Fury,
which reminded me of the Jumper ride in Parkitect, except
inverted; getting stapled on their "traveling" drop tower. It
seems to be similar to the one at Knoebles, which I feel is
better than Clementon's and about equal with Zu.
Even though it was busy, Hellcat was about 1/3 of the way up the
steps, could have been a station wait with all 16 seats and a
second train. Pharaoh's Fury and the drop tower were a 1-2 cycle
       wait.
I was playing to stay from 4-6, but it ended up being more like
4:30-5:40. The park has next to no shade and no water fountains,
       that I saw.
Anyways, the next day going to Great Adventure: got into the lot
around 20 til 11 due to a "gaper delay" coming on to 195 at 7A.
Met up with Maddy and the other Koaster Kids. We first headed to
Zumajaro and Kingda Ka. As I said earlier, Zu is about equal
with Stratopshere at Knoebles in my opinion. Since it sounded
like Ka had a queue, I decided to do some offride footage of
Ka/Zu instead (Ka was probably a little over 20 minutes and Zu 2
       cycles).
We then went over to El Toro, which was a station wait, I was
somewhere in the second or third train (don't need to go over
opinions). We then went over to Bizarro, which was halfway up
the stairs with all 3 trains and some slight stacking to the
op's jokes, but maybe less than 30 secs before the next train
entered the station. We were then dismissed to lunch. I decided
first to ride Harleyquinn (new cred). I was surprised they don't
allow guests on the platform until the gates open, was lucky to
get on it after a cycle. Had lunch in the boardwalk for the AC
then went back to Harelyquinn, where the rest of the group rode
it (I did my off ride at the time. P.S. the op that day was very
       fun).
We then headed over to Nitro, which was 2-3 cycle wait with 3
trains. Coming up to it, it was stopped on the lift (phone
probably). Nitro started stacking before my train was unloaded,
probably just over 1 min max, but I feel it might have been only
30-45 secs (from when the train behind us stopped to my train
       unloading).
I then went on the rapids for the first time. Back in 2013, I
did a tour where we went into the ride's trough. I got soaked
because if you get wet in the first rapids, you get wet in the
       second, i got soaked.
We then went to Skyscreamer. Just before they were going to
ride, the ride was stopped due to a part falling from the ride
(which was not the case and ride reopened 5-10 mins later). It
was still probably a 15 min wait for them. My dad decided to
ride Swashbuckler, which was the very first ride I ever rode in
the park. Classic like Swashbuckler, Flying Turns, and Demon
Drop hold a special place in my heart.
We were going to meet them at Justice League, but they might
have gone to Skull Mountain first, at least I got to go down the
Wild Walkway and Old Country paths for once. It was 4:30 when we
decided to leave. Could have stayed longer but my phone died and
       family reasons.
All in all, it was a fun/day weekend. Thanks Maddy, Logan, Jeff
       for the event.

I'm a little burnt out as well, but I have never done their
Halloween or Holiday events. I was originally planning on
skipping till then this year until Logan made the announcement.
He is turning the Koaster Kids brand into a non-profit where his
antics and adventures (and that of the Regional Reps, who were
Kid Reporters before). I'm very happy for him and I feel the
change comes at the right time with the COPPA BS.
