By: dellice45 Date: September 8, 2019, 8:32 pm --------------------------------------------------------- What I want to do is compile a list to eventually send to the park. I see tons of complaints and want to see where their short falls are, but also what you do enjoy from Fright Fest! Let’s not make this a bash fest, but constructive Criticism to voice your opinions on what you think the park can do to make Fright Fest better! #Post#: 1145-------------------------------------------------- Re: What can SFNE do to make Fright Fest better? By: Mrceagle Date: September 8, 2019, 11:44 pm --------------------------------------------------------- For starter, if they are going to insist on having fright zones they need to up their game. They are more like fright spots with a small section in each area of the park. They need to spread out the bigger displays and buy or create smaller props to make the areas larger. So your not in a fright zone for 50ft or so and back out of it again. I Get they are in business to make money but the upcharged haunts are bothersome. I've been over this on the old forums but you can't convince me the haunts cost more money to operate than the waterpark. They managed to do it for years without charge. At least make the trail and the 2 haunts that ate int it free and charge a small fee for the more complicated haunts. The formate worked well in 2004 and 2005 when I visited. #Post#: 1153-------------------------------------------------- Re: What can SFNE do to make Fright Fest better? [/quote] Until people stop paying for the haunts they have no reason to not charge to do them. It's basically free money for them because either way they are going to do some kind of Halloween event either way. I will use my free pass included with Membership and that's it. I'm not big into the freight fest stuff and not going to waste money on the same scares every year. i do enjoy the atmosphere of the parks being open later into the night though so I'm all for going during that time of year #Post#: 1154-------------------------------------------------- Re: What can SFNE do to make Fright Fest better? By: slakerx Date: September 9, 2019, 3:23 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I have not been to Fright Fest in many many years. One of the reasons I stopped going is because I felt like the actors / actresses did not give a !@#$ about doing their job. Last time I went they were just standing there. I believe it was in the lazy river in the water park. I think I will be going back this year because my sister wants to, and Lake Compounce is just that much farther away for me. We will see what has changed since my last visit. #Post#: 1156-------------------------------------------------- Re: What can SFNE do to make Fright Fest better? By: Mrceagle Date: September 9, 2019, 10:35 pm --------------------------------------------------------- That's part of the reason why they need to rethink the way they do things. LC has Haunted Gravyardon site which is by far the best and it's the cheapest option at 36.99 for a combo. Canobie is easily second with technically 5 haunts plenty of walk around actors and themeing around the park but price climbs to 36-44. but that's still Cheaper then SFNE at 52 base park admission plus a separate admission for the haunts. Parking and food are also lower at LC and Canboie making your trip cheaper. #Post#: 1180-------------------------------------------------- Re: What can SFNE do to make Fright Fest better? By: dellice45 Date: September 20, 2019, 10:45 am --------------------------------------------------------- In the grand scheme of things and what Ive learned about the park and how fright fest ticks. There is a guy uncharge of Fright Fest, Holiday In The Park and summer entertainment! He is spread to thin, and I ma not sure what they do about training the actor, not sure if they do just a quick over view and just hire anybody to fill spots, some are nervous, some don't belong being a haunt actor and some just want the pay check! Its really tough to find really good actors these days and they pay very little and people don't want to work for next to nothing . I know from when I talked to the park last year, they said a haunt will get changed out every three years, which is great to hear verse keeping haunts for 6+ years! I agree though, Scare zones need to be a little better, Haunts should be included, what I am noticing is not as many people going in the haunts because they cost money! #Post#: 1182-------------------------------------------------- Re: What can SFNE do to make Fright Fest better? By: Mrceagle Date: September 21, 2019, 11:14 am --------------------------------------------------------- Interesting. If they mostly kept the wooded area the same, like they did in the past, and kept that free I would not mind paying $10 or o for 2 larger more detailed rotating haunts. #Post#: 1195-------------------------------------------------- Re: What can SFNE do to make Fright Fest better? By: dellice45 Date: September 25, 2019, 4:26 pm --------------------------------------------------------- It seems this year is a bit fo a step up verse the last year. Nightmare is great, I had a great time in Slasher Circus due to the actor interaction. New shows are much better, it seems the awakening did some different stuff and is starting to get into all gears! Scare Zones are the weakest link at the park and need more added to it! actors, props, etc Carnevil is the best one and the one there on main street, the rest really need to go or get beefed up! I feel SFNE made some great strides this year! Overall I was a lot happier with Fright Fest then years past! #Post#: 1198-------------------------------------------------- Re: What can SFNE do to make Fright Fest better?
