Six Flags Earnings

Six Flags took a nosedive in the fourth quarter this year,
anyone else a little concerned?

My only question is had they broken ground/order rides for those
parks. I don't think this is necessarily a repeat of 2004-2009.

I think it's a bit too early to get worried. The weather was
sub-par this last quarter. Not to mention a short holiday season

I do think they probably already ordered the rides.

Not sure to either they may have started to order rides but they
would be owned by the developers, not SFI. That being said
canceled rides have proved valuable to some parks. Magic Springs
Cristal Falls SLC was originally ordered by Jazzland.

I think the worry is that Q4 is when season passes get renewed.
Perhaps there is just less of that becuase so many folks have
migrated to memberships which spread the money equally through
the year.

It's a good theory. Makes a lot of sense. Personly I never
renewed my seaosn pass in the fall i alway swaited til the
opening wekend sale.

Yeah memberships probably contributed to that. I also think
news of the China parks being delayed scared some people off
too.

I would think Q3 would get a lot of renewals with the Labor Day
sale.

Yeah but they’re practically on sale from Labor Day-March. It’s
the same sale with a different title.
“Halloween Sale”
“Thanksgiving Sale”
“Christmas Sale”
“Winter Sale”
