       Six Flags Expansion

If you were Six Flags, what parks would you (logically) try to
       acquire?
       Mine would be-
       Castles n’ Coasters (Arizona)
       Lagoon (Utah)
       Funtown Splashdown U.S.A. (Maine)
       Camden Park (Virginia)
       Adventureland (Iowa)
       Beech Bend (Kentucky)
       Silverwood (Idaho)
       Waldameer (Pennsylvania)
       Maybe the Fun Spot parks?

Given SFI's finances, it's hard to tell if they are in a good
space to acquire more parks. I could maybe see ten trying to
pick up a few water parks to make the memberships more valuable.
In Our area, the only water park I could see them getting is
Water Wizz. The area's biggest free-standing waterpark is Water
Country but that's owned by Palace.
I don't see then beign able to buy a well espablished dry park.
Maybe asome strugling but well positioned parks that wodl thrie
if invested into but thats still arisk.

The only park on that list I see being bought up by someone is
Silverwood, and that would be by Cedar Fair. Aftershock might be
the only thing that makes it look more like a corporate park on
the skyline. They have a lot of good planters and Cedar Fair
will keep up with this, and maintaining the two woodies. They
have 2 steel coasters, the two woodies, an SBF spinner, and an
old kiddie coaster. Maybe they could get Time Warp from
Wonderland and a launched coaster, that would round the park
       well.
Castles and Coasters is too small to be much more, Palace might
snag it if it falls on hard times-but that's unlikely.
Lagoon is doing fine as they are and will remain on the
       trajectory they are on.
Cedar Fair doesn't have property in New England, but Funtown
Splashtown doesn't look to be in a shape that would make sense
       as a corporate park.
Camden Park and Beach Bend are a similar story to Funtown
Splashtown and Castles and Coasters: too small and doesn't look
       the part.
Adventureland does look like a Six Flags park as it doesn't look
that beautiful, but I feel the water park if they remove their
skycoaster and the ride that looks like Penguin's Blizzard River
at Six Flags America (not sure of the model) would work out for
them. It's halfway between Worlds of Fun and Valleyfair. Nearest
Six Flags is six hours away so this might be accurate.
Fun Spot: HELL NO, those will stay as they are for a long time
Waldameer is a lot like Knoebles, so no. They might condense
their pavilions to the air between the East Side and West Side
and put another coaster next to Steel Dragon where the Rainbow
Gardens building is, but that is at least 10-15 years away.

       Here's the Premier Parks:
Elitch Gardens is in the process of moving so that park is off
the list. Glenwood could work under Hershend as they have a
license to operate attractions at Stone Mountain-but has no
       coasters.
I feel that Wild Waves, unlike some previously mentioned parks
could get converted, the dry side just needs some work on
paths/midways and maybe a new place where you pay for parking
(and fully decked out lot). A new steel coaster with inversions
would probably within a 5-year plan.
They also own Magic Springs in Arkansas, and they have a baby
Abismo, the only one of its kind in the US. It would require a
lot less work than Wild Waves to fix up by either company, so...
They apparently own Clementon now. This would be in competition
with both Great Adventure and Dorney, but I feel Palace would
fine snagging this one up and giving Hellcat a little TLC. Could
also be demolished for low income housing.

Can't really see SFI acquiring any of those. Camden is in WV
not VA. If I had to pick one I guess Lagoon but really cn't see
       any of them.

       I agree
That aside if any chain bought and wanted to expand funtown they
have plenty of land but the park really needs to be reconfigured
to access it correctly. The and then own stars behind Excalibur
and then goes north. It then stretched back nearly to the
       highway.

I feel they need to get rid of parks and into aquire any
especially with the current CEO, some of his ideas are great but
       poor execution!

Let me suggest they sell TGE to Palace Ent. I would welcome
another Nearby park on the platinum pass.
