Sure SFMM took the crown but many would argue that CP has the crown with overall quality of coasters. The park has a Birthday coming up 2020 and some think they will not be getting a coaster but something else. #Post#: 705-------------------------------------------------- Re: Cedar Point By: depotrat Date: June 30, 2019, 6:41 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Screamscape is reporting that eye witnesses are saying that the Valraven collision last week that CP called a "bump between trains" in the station was actually more with estimated speed of 20-25 MPH. OUCH!! #Post#: 707-------------------------------------------------- Re: Cedar Point By: Bubber11 Date: July 1, 2019, 6:49 am ---------------------------------------------------------
Screamscape is reporting that eye witnesses are saying that the Valraven collision last week that CP called a "bum between trains" in the station was actually more with estimated speed of 20-25 MPH. OUCH!!
That seems plausible if none of the mechanical brakes on the brake run worked. It always seemed odd that Valravan relies more on the mechanical brakes to stop the ride than Magnetic ones. Leviathan has a very similar brake run being elevated and it mostly comes to a stop using the magnetic fins while its going down the angle to level out with the station. #Post#: 821-------------------------------------------------- Re: Cedar Point By: dellice45 Date: July 23, 2019, 3:38 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Valravan now open with both trains! #Post#: 878-------------------------------------------------- Re: Cedar Point By: Mwbugsy Date: July 26, 2019, 1:03 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I’ve been at Cedar Point since Tuesday. Noticed yesterday and today that TTD is running with nobody in the last car and it’s barely making it over. Is that often the case? It was also down more than it was up yesterday. Wondering if there is a problem with the launch. Luckily I rode it Tuesday. #Post#: 976-------------------------------------------------- Re: Cedar Point By: Pineracer Date: August 12, 2019, 2:00 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Tony Clark posted on Twitter that both Dragstar and Wicked Twister are awaiting parts. *****************************************************
