Mine of Lost Souls

This thread is dedicated to the parks Dark ride. Built in the
1980's and featuring SDC cars the ride saw an overhaul in the
late 90's By Sally Animatronics to to the dark ride we see
today.
Share your thoughts and memories of The original Mine ride and
the new Mine fo lost souls. We can also discus our expectation
of its future.

until I saw this post I totally forgot this ride was there!!! my
boyfriend won't go to canobie lake park as they have no season
pass and we are avid SFNE goers and seasons pass holders.
this post reminds me of all the times I rode scared to death,
yet something about it kept me brave enough to get right back in
line for a better than haunted mansion dark thrill!

It's a nice ride and a traditional throwback to dark rides
compared to the Interactive dark rides at LC and Santa's
Village.
Hopefully you can make a day trip to Canobie. If you do like
getting scared their Halloween event is very good.
I agree Canobie is expensive and I get the aggravation about the
season pass since Canobie is much closer to me then SFNE and i
can spend well over a hundred dollars just to visit a few times.
But i day trip can be done
A bit more on topic I' m happy to hear you have such fond
memories of the dark ride.

Is the blacklit text in the first hallway new? I don't remember
that on past visits.

It's been redone and the black lights replaced. they have always
had stuff on that hallway.

It's one of a few places that obviously saw some work. now they
just need to rehab the rest of it.

I actually hope they redo the entire ride! Freshen it up, change
some scenes and give it some new life!

It definite needs an update. I like the mine theme and would
want them to keep it but there are many areas that could be
improved.

I wonder if they ever will do a revamp to the ride. I wish it
was open during Halloween
