       POLL: Who should be the next White Sox manager?

       Who would you like to be named the next Chicago White Sox
       manager?
       Be SPECIFIC with the name whether it be a newbie manager like
       Sandy Alomar, Jr.; Davey Martinez; Don Cooper; Ryne Sandberg;
       Carlton Fisk; etc. or a former MLB manager like Bobby Valentine;
       Jim Fregosi; Jim Riggleman; etc. or even someone who's managing
       another team right now but is expected to be fired soon (like
       Terry Francona).

       I dont really have an exact choice. Somebody with experience.
       Gardenhire if available, which we dont know at this point, or
       Francona. My guess is that Reinsdorf will opt for somebody fresh
       or new such as Sandy Alomar who would have a cheaper price tag
       and likely accept Coop and Baines.

       I'd give the job to Cooper, based solely on his two post-game
       pressers alone.

       Heh. I just watched them online last night... and I agree.
       He's got some Archie Bunker in him, for sure.

       Just reading some of Francona's bio... seems he and Buddy Bell
       were pretty tight in their days with the Reds and Bell named him
       to his coaching staff while in Detroit.
       Also, I gotta think Francona and Don Cooper are very familiar
       with each other since Coop was the minor league pitching
       coordinator while Francona managed Birmingham for 3 seasons.
       Given those facts, I'd say Francona is likely to be our new
       manager if he's not looking for top-tier $$$.
