       Curiosities

Is there a topic about this already? I couldn't find it so...I'm
       doing it :).
Did your ever make a discovery about something, nothing great,
but that made you say "Uh, really?". Well, it's your time to
share these useless(or not) and interesting(or not) discoveries
with the forum. By the way, it doesn't need to be unique, nor
something that no one knows, it can be even common sense, but
you didn't know that until recently.
       Okay,
In my case, I discovered that R.I.P doesn't mean "Rest in Peace"
:(. "Requiescat in pace" is the true meaning. It's not like
it's wrong since they are the same thing(the first is in
english, the second is in latin), but I've got so...so...so...
:P, that made me search for the truth. And here is the result
       ::).
Was it useful? No?! Who cares!

I recently found out that the 2nd biggest country in the
world(after mother russia) is Canada. At first I was like "that
can't be true , there must be bigger countries then that in
africa or asia".But then I looked at the map and shitted my
       pants.

       Oh my...
Pizza is not Itallian food at all :P. It's just that the poor
people there liked it. The origins of pizza started at the
       Ancient Egypt.
       Praise the Pizza!

In many countries, the word "banana" is also called banana or
something similar(like banano, banane, banan, banaan, and some
others). There are some languages that have completly different
ways to call it though, like:
Banana -> Klwy in Thai (the pronunciation that is, the true name
is like this: กล้วย). There are
some other examples, but this one caught my attention.
Now can someone explain me how to pronunciante this :)?
