       Workshop tips,hacks & home made tools.

       Thought I would start a thread here for workshop tips & home
       made tools etc doesn't have to be Unimog or M.B Trac specific
       but would prefer if they were relevant  for either or their
       implements.

       One of my favourites is removing broken studs by either welding
       a nut or washer on & then just unscrew them.

       Another one is removing bearings from a tight housing using a
       weld bead to shrink it.

       The welding a nut to a bolt is a personal favourite of mine, it
       proovides a heating and "quenching" element at the same time.
       Another method to stop the bolt snapping is to work it back and
       forth a bit, for example 1 turn out, half turn in, 1 turn out,
       can be time consuming but it's saved a lot of bolts in my time.
