I am doing a review on this cause I have
used these last year. My personal opinion and expierence with
them are that the concept is very good but the quality is
lacking. I bought a three pack of them to try out. First thing I
had to do to make them fit like they were suppose to, was shave
a little off with some sandpaper. Just to let you know what
arrow I use, I use Easton Flatline D.O.A. 400's that use the
S-nock. Once I finally got proper fitment on them, I proceeded
to test how they work. The first one wouldn't come on no matter
what I did, so I tried another one. The second one did work, but
not as good as it should. I then proceeded to youtube to see if
someone has had the simular problem. I found a few things that
lead me to the source of the problem. The problem was that, I
had arrow wraps on my arrows and it was covering a little of the
top of the arrow where the nock slides in and it was't making
contact with the arrow itself. These nocks have little metal
tabs that come out from each side of the nock that makes contact
with the arrow. If these tabs don't make contact, it will not
light or light very dim. Down the battery was a long curly wire
wrapped around the battery to help make contact with the arrow
also. I didn't like either of this things cause they are very
cheap and flemsy. After 5 shots with one, I had a wire break
off. Once you put them in place, you can not twist them cause it
will cause the wire to break. That is not a good thing if you
have to adjust your nock for some reason.
Now to the shooting part. As I said previously, after 5 shots, I
had the wire break off of one, rendering it useless and just a
ordinary nock. When you shoot them, they work most of the time
but not all the time. After shooting and turning them off
multiple times, it starts to mess with the cheap wireing,
leaving them not to turn on sometimes after the shot or turn off
the minute they hit the target. To turn them off, you have to
pull back on the nock to loose contact between the metal tabs
and the carbon arrow. After a few shots you eventually flaten
those tabs and have to pop them outward over and over again. To
me, that makes them useless and a item I will not buy again. I
paid over 30 dollars for 3 of them and if they lasted for 150
shots, that was good. All of them eventually had the wires break
on them. I wish I still had them to show you pics of what I was
talking about, but I left them in my old bow case with my old
Hoyt I sold.
The main thing I am trying to get accross here is to save your
money and don't buy this product. This is from my own personal
expierence with them. They look great in there comercials and
youtube videos but they wont show you how much of a pain they
actually are. I will try a set of nockturnals and see how these
are and do a review on them. I did also have a set of easton
lighted nocks when I first started bow hunting and they worked
good but battery life sucked! You can also go to youtube and see
how to make some yourself. I have tried to do this already and
they came out good, its just a pain to make and a pain to find
the light to make them. There is also some question about the
strength of them, which I never had a problem with them. If I
find the video on this, I will post it for those who are
interested in trying this. I found my lights at academy for
this. I was lighted bobber lights.
Hope this review was helpful to those who were thinking about
buying these. When I buy the nockturnals, I will do a review on
them also. If you have any input on this, please share. Thanks
everyone.

You would think that for the price of lighted nocks they would
be better designed and user friendly I'm hoping to get some Fire
Accunocks from the Accunock company they run about the same
price but boast about their battery lasting much longer and
brighter then Lumenok they also talk about not using a nock
tool to turn the nocks..

I am not to keen switches that you have to
turn off. Every time you fire a arrow and the light comes on,
you will have to take out your nock to turn it off. Not thrilled
about it. I don't know what the magic trick will be to get a
lighted nock with out cheap conduction system that breaks or a
switch that you have to take you nock off to get to in order for
you to turn it off, but I tell you this, who ever figures it out
will have one hell of a product. I will try out the nockturnals
just to see if I like them and I will let everyone know my
findings.

What's the weight on these? Is it comparable to others? I like
the way these sound. Gonna check them out.
