Including Joe Biden, who lost his son Beau. >But Joe Biden will stop that from happening if you vote for him. "I've worked so hard in my career that I promise you, if I'm elected president, you're going to see the single most important thing that changes America: We're going to cure cancer." ~ Joe Biden, 6/11/2019, Ottumowa, Iowa His administration would place a focus on cancer, unlike any previous administration in history. There are many reasons as to why his statement should be taken seriously, not only due to his own personal loss. Joe Biden oversaw the "Cancer Moonshot" during his time as vice president under the Obama administration. The intiative's stated goal: "To make a decade's worth of advances in canceer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, in five years." After leaving office as vice president, Biden moved on and oversaw the Biden Cancer Inititative to "develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research, and care, and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes." Of course, Biden has stepped down from the organization since announcing his bid for the White House. Since Biden's only interest is for people to get well, and live long lives free of cancer, he suggested the Trump administration do the same - "What happened was we did a lot of good work, with your help, the Moonshot. And when we left, I went to this administration and said, `You can do a lot. Move.' But it wasn't their priority at the time." I guess writing love letters to Kim Jong Un was much more important to the Trumpster than saving lives. --Lee -- As Good As It Looks --- MesNews/1.08.05.00-gb * Origin: - nntp://rbb.fidonet.fi - Lake Ylo - Finland - (2:221/360) .
