The current president of Ukraine was elected on an anti-corruption
campaign.  Not just him, but members of his party.  Having a majority
of his party in the legislature gives him lots of say.

After the whistleblower made known what Trump had done, President
Zelensky was widely criticized by his own supporters as being weak,
and a lackey for Trump.

But he is a quick learner.  So do not expect him to do like
Charlie Brown and try to kick the football being held again by
Lucy von Pelt ...

If a foreign power frames an opponent of Donald Trump, that foreign
power will be richly rewarded.  Even if that foreign power is a hostile
power, such as Iran, North Korea, China, or Ukraine.  I mean, Russia
is innocent, and would never do such a thing.
