Subj : Greetings From A Guam Aquarist To : All From : Jeff Snyder Date : Wed Mar 25 2009 10:02 pm Hello everyone! Our BBS just joined FidoNet today. I don't know how active this echo is, but I thought I'd post a brief message to see if anyone is out there. Myself, I've been an aquarium hobbyist for years. I started out as a freshwater aquarist decades ago as a young teen. Eventually, when I arrived on Guam almost 23 years ago, I also got into marine aquariums. I have designed and set up aquariums up to 300 gallons in size. I used to own my own aquarium design and maintenance business in years past. Currently, I have a number of tanks set up, but no fish in them. Our summers tend to make the house rather hot, and I wasn't able to keep the tanks cool enough, and I wasn't about to invest in an expense chiller. The last fish I kept were African cichlids. They bred like crazy until I had about 80 at one time. I had a male Red Kadango which was a beautiful sight to see, particularly when he sported his brilliant mating colors. Anyway, just thought I'd stop by to say hello. Jeff --- Hermes Web Tosser 1.0 * Origin: Armageddon BBS -- Guam, Mariana Islands (1:345/3777.0) .
