If you just want an anemone but not a clown host I have used condylactis(sp?) anemones(atlantic) because they dont need high light levels. I keet 2 clowns and a condylactis in a 10 gallon with a live sand bed and 10 lbs of live rock,a penguin 170 biowheel filter, and a standard flourescent hood without problems. The condylactis can eat the clown although I have never had that problem as the clowns stay far away from it.Due to the fact that saltwater caused me alot of problems and money on my 125 it is now freshwater oscar tank but the 10 gallon is nice and easy to keep. wrote in message news:vr8alkjnm34l8a@corp.supernews.com... > Just wanted to keep a couple of clown fish and sea aneamies (sp?) does not > need a protein skimmer ? > > coelacanth wrote: > > > Even that seemingly straightforward question is not as > > easy as it seems.
