Subj : NTVDM64 To : All From : Nick Andre Date : Tue Jan 14 2020 11:31 pm I think I posted before about this, at least in the D'Bridge echo, that there is a Sourceforge project porting the NTVDM subsystem of 32-bit Windows, over to 64-bit. The NTVDM system is the DOS-emulator portion of Windows. https://sourceforge.net/projects/nxvdm/ This means that 16-bit MS-DOS programs can now run on 64-bit Windows. I have this installed on my 64-bit Windows 7 laptop for testing and was able to install and run D'Bridge, Renegade and Searchlight. Batch files and the like seem okay. The real test for me here will be the dialup modem, FOSSIL and Door games; and a Windows-based Telnet server that passes the network socket and handle to the NET2BBS program which is what my BBS starts-up from. Anyone else try this out yet? Nick --- Renegade vY2Ka2 * Origin: Joey, do you like movies about gladiators? (1:229/426) .
