If you are going to carry Ar> something that will be classified as a weapon with the intention of Ar> using it as a weapon, you may as well pack the real deal. Not worrieda about LEO when it comes to a posted area like a movie theater, bank, school, etc. And I'm not trying to 'fool' any body with it. It's my backup in the event someone tries to wrestle with my gun hand, preventing a draw. The pen is in my shirt pocket and I can grab it with either hand, but it's also 'better than nothing' if I can't carry my gun... ....
