Subj : Serious Roleplaying in LoRD. . . To : All From : Joseph Tek Fox Date : Mon Mar 10 2003 02:34 am My friends, It has come to my attention that of the few of you playing, even less of you PROPERLY know how to roleplay your characters. . . "In what game, Joseph?," you may ask. . . The only bloody game I PLAY on this BBS, of course. . . Legend of the Red Dragon, by Seth Able Robinson. While I realize that the game, in and of itself, is meant to be something of a joke, not to be taken entirely seriously, and meant more for fun and everything. . . I was sort of hoping that, perhaps. . .maybe. . .JUST maybe. . .. I would find some people who were willing to toss aside their egos and use ALTER-egos, immersing themselves into a world of make-believe and fantasy. But no. . . No, that's far too hard for some people. . . They have to make references to real-world things. . . Saddam. . . The Aliquida. . . And then some less general stuff. It's my humbled opinion that THIS HAS GOT TO STOP. It's a ROLE-PLAYING game, damnit. So ROLE PLAY. And don't roleplay something idiotic like a modern-day super hero, or a feral alligator, or something like that.(May the comments on my anthropomorphic(or demi-human) cat-man commence. . .) Please. Thank you all for your time in reading this. Joseph D. Collins AKA "Maximus" on LoRD .
