FE will create areas as they are received from your uplink, if you have it configed properly. That doesn't mean that they will be imported into the EleBBS format though. Although, EleBBS may be able to use the file FE creates to create it's own database (AREAS.BBS). You can use the areas to create your own area defaults too. i.e. I use A to designate email from one uplink and R to designate regional echoes that I get from another source and then P for all pass-thru echoes.
