Subj : Packet splitter To : Steve Quarrella From : Marc Lewis Date : Fri Jan 26 2001 04:02 pm Hello Steve. SQ> I will be the first to admit I'm ignorant or wrong, as I didn't SQ> really cling to the documentation when I had a look at it last SQ> week. I do know that PacketSorter will split large messages and SQ> rejoin them. Not sure about that one, Steve. Will research it a bit just for the heck of it. SQ> In any event, problem long since solved by putting the machine on SQ> the LAN and copying the file to where my point software could get SQ> it. Thanks! Good show! SQ> PS: I heartily recommend this utility. It still works in 2001, SQ> and it works well. I use it heavily on the inbound packets from the NewsGate program, some of which get up into the multiple megs in size. The Y2k date correction program (PKTDATE.EXE) barfs on packets over ~150 messages, so I split everything down smaller than that. ::Later:: Pktsort will indeed split messages and unsplit them as well.
