Interesting.  MajorBBS was indirectly called out in the
MindVox manifesto: http://textfiles.com/bbs/MINDVOX/voices.txt

Apparently, part of the interface referenced MajorBBS (cleverly
disguised as "a galacticomm") in a pejorative way:

 The gnome walks out from behind the bushes where he was hiding, points the

 dooms you to a life of eternal  wandering  amongst a million Galacticomms.

This was apparently the text that would greet the user if s/he
typed, "damn".
